One of the beauty brands that I adore, Marc Jacobs Beauty, has recently released their new eyeshadow palettes which look just stunning, and I have the Marc Jacobs Beauty Eye-Conic Eyeshadow Palette in Glambition to show you today. It is a stunner to look at, and that name is pretty perfect, there is just something very appealing about neutral tones, that is so effortlessly chic.
The brand has 6 new eyeshadow palettes to choose from, with varying finishes and color range, and I was torn between Glambition and Scandalust, but ultimately Glambition won over.
From the Sephora website:
What it is:

Available in six different colorways, choose the wardrobe that speaks to you, then layer it on to make the ultimate impression.
This palette contains:
– 7 x 0.003 oz/ 0.08 g Eyeshadows
What it is formulated WITHOUT:
What else you need to know:
Beyond his fashion design, Marc Jacobs is also known as “the ultimate stylist” for making last-minute adjustments to perfect every look right before it walks down the runway. The eyeshadows in each Eye-Conic palette are inspired by textiles and layering, and come in four fashion finishes so you can be the ultimate stylist, too. Finish your look and let it stand out by layering a bright color or lamé pop on top.
Read the shade names from left to right for a short poem. The slim, seven-shadow palette was designed to feature the oblong infinity mirror, and was inspired by the rearview mirror of an automobile.
Each palette features its own shade personality:
Provocouture (dusty plum and magenta): Say it with style; otherwise, you might as well just stay in bed.
Glambition (bare and bronze): She was infamous, known for seeking the most over-the-top glamour.
Frivoluxe (chilled greige and violet): Fabulous! Always dress outrageously and how you want. Who has time for less?
Scandalust (rust and warmed browns with scarlet): Hot pants at the office cause a fuss; that’s why they call her little miss scandalous.
Edgitorial (camouflage and reflective gold): Take a memo. Next season, we’ll see, pleather python, making a scene, enviously, everywhere.
Sartorial (celestial cobalt and icy teal with prismatic gray): Whenever in doubt: power platforms. Make sure (for once) they know who runs the show.
It is quite an extensive color range though I think there is room to add more palettes later. Let’s also breakdown the price a bit:
- Style Eye-Con No. 20 | $99.00 for 0.564 oz. or $175.53/oz. (20 pan eyeshadow palettes, The Free Spirit, About Last Night Holiday releases)
- Style Eye-Con No. 07 | $59.00 for 0.24 oz. or $245.83/oz. (7 pan eyeshadow palettes, original release, currently discontinued)
- Style Eye-Con No. 03 | $42.00 for 0.14 oz. or $300.00/oz. (3 pan eyeshadow palettes, still available)
Eye-Conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palette | 49$ for 0.21 oz 0r $233.33/oz (7 pan eyeshadow palettes, latest release)
As you can the price is lower than original palettes, so that is definitely a bump up for beauty addicts like moi who love to hoard ! The packaging is the same as the original release, very light and sleek.
Now lets take a look at the Glambition palette, it is a gorgeous mix of warm neutrals, perfect for an everyday look.
- She Was is a satin ivory shade
- Infamous is a light matte beige brown, which almost disappears into my tan skin at the moment
- Known For is a stunning gold shimmer
- Seeking is a cooler matte brown, with some grey
- The Most is a pale warm pink shimmer with flecks of silver, this a super gorgeous shade, turns to a taupe pink on my eyes
- Over The Top is a deep matte warm brown with hint of plum
- Glamour is black with visible silver glitter, smooth to the touch
As you can see, all the shades read to “She Was Infamous, Known For Seeking The Most Over The Top Glamour.” Its the little touches, I say. This made me smile ! Love Marc Beauty !
The shades are all smooth and highly pigmented, the mattes are amazing, powdery but not much fallout on the eyes. the shimmery shades, are smooth but do have fallout when applying. I am currently wearing a mix on my eyes (mainly The Most, with Over The Top and Infamous) and loving how they glisten in the sunlight but look sophisticated indoors as well.
Overall thoughts, I love this palette so far but I have only had it for less than a day but I do think it is gorgeous. If you have the original releases, or the 20 pan eyeshadow palettes, I don’t think you need to run out and get this. I am intrigued by the other palettes, and I just may get another but I have too many palettes, its undecided. What do you think ? These are currently available at Sephora.
