Can I just say, I have never been obsessed with bronzers EVER in my life.Until now. I blame it all on the amazing friends I have over on Instagram, with summer here, all I see on there are pictures of these gorgeous bronzers and this one caught my eye.

The newest addition to the Kevyn Aucoin family, The Neo Bronzer comes in two shades Capri (cool pink) and Siena (warm pink). Let me just quickly say, they are wrongly labelled on Sephora, their description is exchanged and Capri is shown as warm pink, Siena as cool coral, this is wrongly labeled.

Anyway, that out of the way, I got this in Siena (warm coral). The packaging is classic Kevyn Aucoin, and quite classy. It does not feel cheap. As you can see, the palette is a gorgeous gradient style highlighter/blush/bronzer palette, and it is marketed as a three-in-one face palette to achieve beautiful, sunkissed skin.

Kind of like a blonzer palette ? Eh. This is the warmer one of the two available. It retails for 58$ for 21gm or 0.74 oz, which is a VERY generous amount of product. In contrast, the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzers retail for 50$ for 0.39oz. So, we get nearly double the amount of product for nearly the same price, with a glowy blush included as well.

The palette smells like roses to me, it’s not too strong, it’s actually quite lovely. I’ve not heard anyone else mention this, and it makes me wonder if I’m imagining the fragrance. The powders themselves are thin, but kick up a lot of product. Even a slight dip into the palette kicks up a lot of powder. But, the pigmentation is excellent. It can be built up and all of the three products, can be used individually or swirled together to form a gorgeous bronzy flush. The shimmer runs through out the palette, but it never looks chunky or bad. Just a gorgeous sheen.

The highlighter, though looks warm in the pan, shows up like a pale champagne glow once blended out. This is not an intense highlight like say, the Becca ones. This is more glowy, lit from within look. Very strobed skin. Quite silky and gorgeous sheen on the cheekbones.

The blush is a warm coral flush that is perfect for summer. It is just beautiful, and this coming from someone who doesn’t even wear blush everyday. This is stunning mixed in with the highlighter. I also used this blush and the bronzer as eyeshadows, and they look beautiful ! Love a good multi tasking product !

The bronzer is not too warm but not too grey either. It looks like nothing when swatched, but on the face, it just adds some dimension and looks beautiful. I used this on the perimeters of my face, and my mother, when she saw me, commented about how ‘lifted’ and ‘glowy’ my face looks. This does not have a very golden glowy look like my other favorite, the Too Faced Snow Bunny bronzer. This is more muted, more natural.

As I always keep reminding, please keep in mind that my arms are quite a few shades darker than my face. These are very heavy swatches, unblended to show their color.

This is a handbag staple for me now, also love the huge mirror inside. It’s perfect for faking a gorgeous natural, healthy skin look. My only concern would be that since the powders are so soft, it would break if tossed around a lot. Other than that, LOVE !

Have you picked this up yet ? XO
