These days I’m all about gold and bronzes on my eyes and peachy lips. Like you couldn’t tell by all the past posts eh ?! Ahan ! So the latest products to join my collection are the Ciate London The Fearless Palette and the NARS Get Dirty Lip Cover. I showed these in a haul last week, I think. Let’s see these babies in action !
I was majorly into the Ciate London The Fearless Palette, can you tell, the packaging ! It is so darn CUTE ! Three new palettes have been released, all very cute and quirky ! I got this palette as I felt it had the most versatile range of shades.
The Fearless Palette retails for 35$. It contains 9 eyeshadows, 4 of which are mattes, 3 shimmers and 2 glitter shades. The shadows are extremely buttery and STUNNING ! The shimmers are pigmented right off the bat, just one quick swipe and done. The mattes, seem to be smooth, they are not chalky, but they are not as pigmented as the shimmer shades. This could be to your liking or not. Personally, this meant that I had to pack on the mattes to get true to pan color, on my skintone. Which is not a bad thing necessarily, just takes time to build the intensity.
Now, the glitters, the grey glitter shades are stunning ! These are very, very smooth. The problem is that they have a ton of fallout, the glitter just gets everywhere. I suggest to use a primer underneath to get these to stick to your eyelid. On the eyes, they’re perfect for a night out. Smoky, glitter perfection. All the eyeshadows stay on the eyes like every other eyeshadow. Without primer, about 5-6 hours. With primer, 9 hours plus.
Peachy, corally pink lips are my jam currently. I can’t believe I said that. Anywho, the latest peachy toned lip color to steal my heart is NARS Lip Cover in Get Dirty (28$, 0.22oz). This is part of the NARS Summer 2016 collection, and is limited edition.
The amount of product you get is substantial. This is not a liquid lipstick, in the sense that the product never completely dries down. But this is SO pigmented, I didn’t even need one full dip to cover my lips. Unfortunately, this is too drying on me and emphasizes my lip lines quite a bit. For this reason, I either use this over a darker lipstick, or top this with gloss.
Bottom line: LOVE the palette, like the lip cover.
Have you tried these products, what are your thoughts ? XO
