As the summer is almost here, we also have a slew of releases, and one of the releases I was most looking forward to was the Becca Cosmetics x Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette. It looks so divine, and is on trend with some rose gold, and peach highlighter shades. Let’s take a look at how gorgeous this palette is !

For a bit of a background, Chrissy is a very successful model, and from there on she also went on to write books on cooking which are quite popular. What she is known most for though is how out spoken she is (which I also admire) and how she has always looked like a beach bronzy goddess on red carpets. Her makeup artist is Mary Phillips, who also does the face of Jennifer Lopez, and we can stop just with these two stunners to know how talented and brilliant Mary is.

Mary and Chrissy collaborated together for this Becca Glow Face palette, and Chrissy has said that she didn’t want this palette to be too sparkly and too shimmery. To quote her, “I see all the Instagram posts, and I did not want to look like those girls that just look silver. Do you don’t have to be a slay queen just because you look like a silver zorbot. That look is done. I’m tired of silver cheekbones and nose. And I’m f*cking over strobing!” Chrissy later said that she has no idea what a zorbot is, but you get her drift. The palette is quite stunning, it has two highlighters (one rose gold and one a peachy apricot shade), a coral pink blush and a bronzer (in Beccas new bronzer formula).

The Sunlit Bronzer in Malibu Soleil has a medium amber hue that evokes a dreamy day at the beach tan, with a soft splash of light so that your skin looks sunkissed. Flush cheeks with the Luminous Blush in Hibiscus Bloom—a new, limited-edition, golden pink coral color. Just mix, layer, and blend these formulas to get your perfect summer glow.

This palette contains:
– 0.18 oz/ 5.1 g Shimmering Skin Perfector™ Pressed in Rose Gold (subtle gold with rose), Beach Nectar (juicy apricot with gold)
– 0.085 oz/ 2.4 g Luminous Blush in Hibiscus Bloom (golden-pink coral)
– 0.085 oz/ 2.4 g Sunlit Bronzer in Malibu Soleil (medium amber)

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
– Sulfates

As stated by Chrissy, these are not the overly blingy glow that Becca normally does, but I find that this can be built up really well to achieve that effect if desired. Applied lightly, the highlighters give a very glossy and glow look, which I am a fan of. The shades in the palette also seem to be flattering across a range of skin tones, these shades are quite medium tone friendly, which is not always the case in releases like these. The blusher and bronzer are also quite buttery and go on beautifully.

Final thoughts, I think it is a gorgeous palette, and if you like a highlighter to go from day to night, this is a great choice for that. It also would be stunning on everyone from pale princesses to medium/dark beauties.

It is currently available only on the Becca Cosmetics website. I got my palette in store at Sephora, but will be re launching soon online at Sephora here, where you can set up an email notification to be notified when it’s back in stock.
